Jim started with the L.A.P.D. In the 1950s he became a mobster, developing a system where they could withhold the race results coming into Southern California. They could then bet on races that had already been run before anyone knew the result of the races. His wife found out where he got his money and insisted he go to a Billy Graham cruade where he was saved.
